
Kyle Peters joined A1 Development Solutions in May 2021, bringing with him a diverse background in finance, economic development, government strategy, public relations, and agriculture. Raised on a row crop and cow/calf operation near White Lake, South Dakota, Kyle developed a strong foundation in agriculture that continues to inform his work today.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from South Dakota State University, as well as a degree in Banking and Financial Services from Northern State University. Prior to joining A1, Kyle spent four years in agricultural and commercial lending, followed by a role with the South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development beginning in January 2019, where he served as a Senior Business Development Representative. In that capacity, he managed a team of business development professionals and led value-added agriculture initiatives on behalf of the state.
Outside of his role at A1, Kyle was elected to the Watertown City Council in June 2023. He also serves on several state and nonprofit boards, including the South Dakota Agricultural Foundation, South Dakota Development Corporation, South Dakota Municipal League Tax & Policy Committee, Economic Development Professionals Association, Collision Ministries, and the South Dakota Mule Deer Foundation.
Kyle is an avid outdoorsman and licensed pilot who remains actively involved in his family’s farm and ranching operation. He lives in Watertown with his wife, Kassidy, and their three children: Adeline, Branch, and Lennon.
